This oil spill <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lowyinstitute.org\/the-interpreter\/borneo-oil-spill-costs-indonesia-s-poor\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">costs Indonesia\u2019s poor<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, whose income relies on fishing.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Indonesia\u2019s vast maritime space (second biggest in the world) is hotly contested between modern and traditional fishermen. Muhammad Zulfikar Rakhmat at the University of Manchester writes about the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/thediplomat.com\/2018\/04\/the-plight-of-traditional-fishermen-in-indonesia\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">plight of traditional fishermen in Indonesia<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Indonesia busted fish pirates using an 30-km-long net. The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/world\/asia\/fishing-boat-illegal-nets-captured-indonesia-weh-aceh-sts50-cod-fishing-a8295971.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ecosystem-endangering vessel<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> may also have been involved in human trafficking.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Communication and Informatics Minister Rudiantara asserted the ministry <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.tempo.co\/read\/news\/2018\/04\/10\/056917446\/Rudiantara-Affirms-to-Close-Facebook%F0%9F%A4%A8\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will surely shut down social media platform Facebook<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Indonesia following its users\u2019 data breach scandal. The ministry has sent a written notice on April 5 and urged Facebook to submit a report on the number of Indonesian users\u2019 whose data were breached.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eighty-two people have died and 100 more in a critical condition in two Indonesian provinces after they were <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.abc.net.au\/news\/2018-04-10\/indonesia-bootleg-alcohol-kills-82-people\/9639332\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">poisoned by a batch of bootleg alcohol<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
