Angus Campbell recently agreed to<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thejakartapost.com\/news\/2018\/07\/28\/indonesia-australia-commanders-meet-up-to-intensify-defense-cooperation.html\"> intensify the level of<br \/>\ndefence cooperation<\/a> for the 2019 and 2020 period.<\/li>\n<li>Foreign Minister, Julie Bishop recently committed to a new chapter with Timor Leste, focusing on deeper cooperation on maritime security, trade, development as well as boosting trilateral economic cooperation with Indonesia. <a href=\"http:\/\/dfat.gov.au\/geo\/timor-leste\/Pages\/joint-communique.aspx\">Read her joint statement<\/a> with Timor Leste Foreign Minister Dr. Babo Soares.<\/li>\n<li>It is seems Indonesia has seen an <a href=\"http:\/\/indonesiaatmelbourne.unimelb.edu.au\/a-polarised-indonesia-elections-intolerance-and-religion\/\">incremental process of exclusivism and intolerance in the practice of Islam<\/a>. Dr Sandra Hamid reflects on how everyday, non-violent acts of intolerance affect electoral contests in Indonesia.<\/li>\n<li>Tobacco continues to put pressure on health and wealth in Indonesia, with the The Indonesian Central Statistics Agency (BPS) revealing it to be <a href=\"http:\/\/australiaindonesiacentre.org\/indonesian-media-in-brief-tobacco-puts-pressure-on-health-and-wealth\/?utm_source=AIC+Media+Update&amp;utm_campaign=18945d2241-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2018_07_27_06_36&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_term=0_1639681d6e-18945d2241-459043661&amp;mc_cid=18945d2241&amp;mc_eid=5d69e6fbf3\">the second highest contributing factor to poverty<\/a>.
