Meanwhile, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2018\/12\/28\/world\/asia\/indonesia-natural-disasters-sutopo.html?smid=fb-nytimes&amp;smtyp=cur&amp;fbclid=IwAR1JjZK9XE4hOUeF0DJaOp7uNWz47lefUMhcCMLw7R4fJhEX7AOlttNF6Mk\">he has been dealing with his own calamity.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Belgium, Dominican Republic, Germany, Indonesia and South Africa have begun to assume responsibilities as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiatoday.in\/world\/story\/five-nations-assume-charge-as-non-permanent-members-of-unsc-1422439-2019-01-03\">non-permanent members of the UN Security Council.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Chatib Basri, finance minister during the presidency of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, and Syahrul Yasin Limpo, the former governor of South Sulawesi, are <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/jakartaglobe.id\/news\/ex-minister-top-officials-from-yudhoyono-era-join-jokowis-presidential-staff-office\/\">among 11 new appointees to Jokowi\u2019s Presidential Staff Office.<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Indonesia\u2019s scientists\u2019 diaspora are an important resource that can be harnessed by the government for national growth in research and innovation.
