Case in point is the increasingly rampant use of slurs used by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thejakartapost.com\/news\/2019\/03\/30\/what-is-cebong-kampret-indonesian-politics-jokowi-prabowo-election.html?mc_cid=46ee570bd5&amp;mc_eid=5d69e6fbf3\">Indonesian social media users to insult those who do not share their political views<\/a>.<\/li><li>Indonesia&#8217;s economy isn&#8217;t growing as fast as President Joko Widodo had promised it would when he was elected five years ago. But the president, who is also known as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/programmes\/countingthecost\/2019\/03\/holding-indonesia-economy-190330101824617.html?mc_cid=46ee570bd5&amp;mc_eid=5d69e6fbf3\">Jokowi, has put the economy at the centre of his pitch to voters for the April elections once again<\/a>.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/programmes\/101east\/2019\/04\/indonesia-football-fever-190403105206213.html?mc_cid=56bd2c06d1&amp;mc_eid=5d69e6fbf3\">Football inspires fanaticism in Indonesia.<\/a> It also inspires danger. 101 East follows Indonesia\u2019s die-hard football fans as violence threatens to shut down an entire league.<\/li><li>Tourists to Indonesia will likely be barred from the popular Komodo Island in January 2020 &#8211; a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smh.com.au\/world\/asia\/komodo-island-is-banning-tourists-because-they-steal-the-dragons-20190403-p51ad3.html?mc_cid=56bd2c06d1&amp;mc_eid=5d69e6fbf3\">decision seemingly impelled by recent reports of Komodo dragons being stolen<\/a> and smuggled overseas, potentially for dubious medicinal purposes, according to local media.<\/li><li>If you ask the Indonesian public who has made the biggest difference for Indonesian fishers, one name will keep coming up: Susi Pudjiastuti, Indonesia\u2019s minister of fisheries and maritime affairs.
