Most reliable quick\n     counts released on the night of the election suggest that President Joko\n     \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo will be re-elected, with about 55 per cent of the vote. <a href=\"https:\/\/indonesiaatmelbourne.unimelb.edu.au\/jokowi-set-to-win-melbourne-experts-respond\/\">University of Melbourne experts offer their early\n     thoughts on the results<\/a>.<\/li><li>Expat Indonesians living in Australia have\n     lined up for hours to vote in their country&#8217;s election, with an estimated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abc.net.au\/news\/2019-04-13\/expat-indonesians-cast-their-votes-in-australia\/11000632\">15,000 casting their ballots at Indonesia&#8217;s\n     consulate in Melbourne<\/a>, according to the Indonesian Overseas\n     Election Committee.<\/li><li>It is estimated that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sbs.com.au\/yourlanguage\/indonesian\/en\/article\/2019\/04\/15\/1400-indonesians-sydney-did-not-get-chance-vote-continuation-possible\">as many as 1,400 Indonesians in Sydney have not used\n     their rights to vote<\/a> because of the large number of DPK (Daftar\n     Pemilih Khusus) and only one hour to vote.<\/li><li>In Indonesia\u2019s most protracted labour dispute\n     in modern history, ethnic Papuan mechanical engineer Timotius Kambu, after\n     suffering an unfair dismissal by Freeport Indonesia, has fought resolutely\n     to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insideindonesia.org\/timotius-and-freeport?fbclid=IwAR3ikVocrjWeI6oaFAcVYezPGv3-8SsGVPCzQdFV-j_LMEGvttjfSbaqWU8\">reclaim his rights and dignity for almost 20 years<\/a>.<\/li><li>Ahead of Indonesia\u2019s presidential election, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eco-business.com\/videos\/documentary-film-sexy-killers-probes-indonesian-candidates-ties-to-big-coal\/\">an online movie was recently published<\/a>\n     showing the links between Indonesian coal and energy companies and the\n     country\u2019s political elites. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=qlB7vg4I-To\">Watch the documentary film \u2018Sexy Killers\u2019 here<\/a>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">On the blog <strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>This week AIYA contributor, Isabel, shares her\n     <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aiya.org.au\/2019\/04\/the-benefits-of-relations-between-australia-and-indonesia\/\">opinion<\/a> about the importance of Australia-Indonesia\n     relationship and how it can be beneficial to you.<\/li><li>AIYA Tasmania just launched their Instagram\n     page.
