If you&#8217;re a young person with an interest in the Australia-Indonesian relationship and experience in journalism, marketing or social media, we&#8217;d like to year from you.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2012, AIYA has been expanding rapidly, with chapters in every Australian state and territory, as well as Jakarta, Yogyakarta, and more to be announced.<\/p>\n<p>To help support the growth of AIYA&#8217;s blog, social media channels and website, we&#8217;re looking for <strong>two talented volunteers<\/strong> to help us <a href=\"#jd-about\">connect, inform and inspire<\/a>\u00a0our audiences.<\/p>\n<h2>Blog Editor<\/h2>\n<p>Working with our Director of Communications, you&#8217;ll be responsible for planning and developing content for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aiya.org.au\/blog\/\">AIYA blog<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 with a focus on day-to-day tasks like editing, working with our authors, and scheduling posts for distribution.<\/p>\n<p>Since it launched in early 2013, AIYA&#8217;s blog has provided a platform for young people to share their views on the bilateral relationship \u2014 from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aiya.org.au\/2014\/03\/go-way-back-indigenous-australia-indonesia\/\">history<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aiya.org.au\/2014\/05\/suara-lo-ngaruh-ayovote\/\">politics<\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aiya.org.au\/reviews\/indonesian-film-festival\/\">film<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aiya.org.au\/2014\/10\/book-review-indonesia-etc\/\">book reviews<\/a>. Ideally, you&#8217;ll have a bachelor&#8217;s degree (completed or underway), strong English and Indonesian skills, and a background in writing or journalism.<\/p>\n<p>For more information about the Blog Editor role, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aiya.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/PD-\u2014-online-editor.pdf\">download its position description<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Communications Officer<\/h2>\n<p>The Communications Officer role will be responsible for working with the rest of the communications team to manage and update AIYA&#8217;s social media channels (in particular <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/aiyanational\">Facebook<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.twitter.com\/aiya_national\">Twitter<\/a>), post updates to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aiya.org.au\/jobs\/\">AIYA jobs board<\/a>, and coordination with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aiya.org.au\/chapters\/\">AIYA chapters<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>AIYA&#8217;s social media presence now reaches more than 6,000 followers across Facebook, Twitter and our mailing list. In this role, we&#8217;re looking for a volunteer with experience in social media, communications or marketing.
