These roles are ideally suited to Australians spending time in Yogya, and are based at NGOs in the surrounding area.<\/p>\n<p>There are currently four positions available:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>English language tutor at QuakeFund<\/li>\n<li>English Editor at the\u00a0Centre for World Trade Studies<\/li>\n<li>Fundraiser and English Mentor at Saujana<\/li>\n<li>Social Media and Website Marketer at\u00a0UCP \u2013 Roda Untuk Humanity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply for any of the positions below, contact <a href=\"mailto:yogyakarta@aiya.org.au\">yogyakarta@aiya.org.au<\/a> with a copy of your CV and a cover letter explaining why you are interested in the position. Applications close on the 17th of October, 2014.<\/p>\n<h2>English language tutor at QuakeFund<\/h2>\n<p>QuakeFund is seeking an Australian volunteer based in Tembi, Yogyakarta, to assist them on a regular basis with part-time English language coaching.<\/p>\n<p>The students will have the opportunity to experience life and people in a typical super-friendly Javanese rural village.<\/p>\n<p>The students will generally be Beginner Level 1 and Beginner Level 2 standard and will probably be divided into groups at of different ages:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>children (from nearby Tembi village)<\/li>\n<li>adults (builders, gardeners, hospitality staff)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The vocabulary and conversations will be student-centred, ie about the people and things they encounter in their daily lives.\u00a0Teaching or training qualifications are desirable, but not essential.<\/p>\n<p>The tutor will usually be assisted by an Indonesian translator during the classes.<\/p>\n<p>For more information about this role, download the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aiya.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/English-language-tutor-volunteer-form-QuakeFund-1.docx\">position description<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>English Editor at the Centre for World Trade Studies<\/h2>\n<p>The Centre for World Trade Studies is seeking an Australian volunteer based in Yogyakarta to assist them on a regular basis with editing English journals, web-content and PowerPoint presentations. The role may also involve occasional English language coaching.<\/p>\n<p>The volunteer will have the opportunity to further their knowledge of Indonesian trade practices as well as network with staff from the CWTS and potentially the Ministry of Trade.<\/p>\n<p>For more information about this role, download the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aiya.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/CWTS-Internship-form-.docx\">position description<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Fundraiser and English Mentor at Saujana<\/h2>\n<p>Saujana&#8217;s\u00a0mission is to connect disadvantaged people by providing them with the creative skills they need to become players in the global media revolution and to act for positive social and environmental changes.<\/p>\n<p>As an emerging NGO, Saujana is seeking a volunteer to assist them on a regular basis with several tasks listed below:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Developing fundraising strategies, including identifying potential partners and donors for Saujana projects as well as creating its database;<\/li>\n<li>Raising funds based on developed strategy;<\/li>\n<li>Conducting research on project-related subjects;<\/li>\n<li>Translating documentation including project proposals, newsletters, website content, videos, and presentations<\/li>\n<li>English coaching for staff and local partners.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>For more information, download the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aiya.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Saujana-Volunteer-form-1.docx\">position description<\/a>.
