If you\u2019re a young person with an interest in the Australia-Indonesia relationship and experience in journalism, marketing, information technology or social media, we\u2019d like to hear from you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To help support the growth of AIYA\u2019s blog, social media channels and website, we\u2019re looking for two talented volunteers to help us <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.aiya.org.au\/2014\/10\/work-with-us\/#jd-about\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">connect, inform and inspire<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> our audiences.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Key responsibilities<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Managing updates to AIYA\u2019s social media channels and website<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Updating and monitoring AIYA\u2019s profiles on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Managing and updating the AIYA jobs board <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Working with AIYA chapters to promote their events and initiatives through national channels <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Working with the Online Editor to commission, promote and distribute AIYA blog posts and resources <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Managing and maintaining AIYA email administration, website and mailing lists<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Skills <\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bachelor\u2019s degree (completed or enrolled)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strong understanding of the Australia-Indonesia relationship <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">English and Indonesian language skills <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strong experience with social media<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience in WordPress, and ideally a background in web design including HTML and CSS<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A background in marketing, journalism or writing would be beneficial<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applying for these positions<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These roles will require commitment of between 4-6 hours per week. The roles are best suited to current undergraduate\/postgraduate students or those that have just entered the workforce. If you\u2019re interested in the position, or not sure if you fit the bill, we suggest you get in touch with us anyway \u2014 we\u2019d be happy to discuss other ways we could work together.<\/p>\n<p>These roles in the communications team are a fantastic opportunity to get involved in AIYA at almost every level. You\u2019ll be working directly with the Director of Communications, as well as with the Blog Editor and Newsletter Editor. You will also have regular contact with the National Executive, as well as Chapter representatives, whilst assisting to boost the presence of AIYA in person and online.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">About us<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.aiya.org.au\/about\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Australia-Indonesia Youth Association<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a non-government, youth-led organisation that aims to better connect young people in Australia and Indonesia to each other and to Indonesia- related opportunities.
