- The Australian Federal Election has been announced for Saturday 3 May 2025. If you’re an Australian citizen overseas on the day of the election, you can still have your say by voting at on overseas voting centre or by postal vote. You will be able to vote in-person at the Australian Embassy Jakarta according to this schedule. The Australian Embassy Jakarta will not be open for in-person voting on Election Day, Saturday 3 May, 2025.
- Federal election 2025: What Labor, Coalition are offering on housing – Underpinning this cost-of-living-centric election is the issue of housing. The states and territories have a big responsibility to play, but the federal government has more money at its disposal and the major, overarching levers to pull.
- Where do the major parties stand on climate change? Turns out they’re worlds apart – As the election campaign draws to a close, it’s safe to say both major parties have been quiet on climate change. Energy policies have featured prominently, which of course carry consequences for climate change, but beyond generalities, climate has been under-represented.

- Dipuji, Putusan Kasasi yang Batalkan Vonis Bebas Kasus Jual-Beli Cula Badak – Kementerian Kehutanan mengapresiasi putusan kasasi yang membatalkan vonis bebas terdakwa perdagangan cula badak Jawa Liem Hoo Kwan Willy alias Willy. Kasasi diajukan Kejaksaan Negeri Pandeglang, Banten, atas vonis yang diberikan majelis hakim di Pengadilan Negeri Pandeglang pada akhir Agustus lalu.
- Jumbo dan Harapan Baru Kebangkitan Animasi Indonesia – Hanya dalam waktu 23 hari penayangan, film Jumbo mencatat sejarah baru dalam industri animasi Tanah Air. Per Rabu, 23 April 2025, jumlah penonton Jumbo telah menembus angka 6.322.000. Sehari sebelumnya, Jumbo bahkan menambah jumlah layar sebanyak 1.109 di bioskop seluruh Indonesia serta mencatat 4.200 pertunjukan ludes terjual.
- KBRI Canberra Sukses Pukau Masyarakat Australia Lewat Tari Kecak – Kedutaan Besar Republik Indonesia (KBRI) di Canberra sukses menggelar rangkaian pementasan tari Kecak bertema “Hanoman Duta” di Australia National University (ANU) pada 17 April 2025 serta berpartisipasi pada rangkaian kegiatan di National Folk Festival (NFF), antara lain workshop dan pementasan, pada 18 – 21 April 2025.

- Pelangi Indonesia School, an initiative of the Indonesian-Australian community in New South Wales, began its journey in early 2011 under the organisation Indonesian-Australian Families Association of New South Wales Incorporated (IAFA Inc.). In its operation for more than 10 years, Sekolah Indonesia Pelangi is supported by a number of volunteer teachers who are very dedicated in teaching Indonesian language and culture. - Australian device helping amputees in Indonesia. Millions of people across the world have had their leg amputated, but not all of them have access to the specialist care needed for a proper prosthetic limb. It’s a problem a team of Melbourne health professionals are addressing. Their new portable device creates casts for prosthetic limbs using only a pressurised water tank. (ABC Listen)

- The Jakarta Bintangs is an Australian Football Club with membership open to anyone, beginners are most welcome. Training is mostly held at Lapangan Bola Aldiron in Jakarta on Saturday or Sunday afternoons. On occasion, training sessions are also held Thursday nights in the GBK complex.
