Australia’s sunshine state of Queensland makes many Indonesian’s feel at home due to its tropical climate and friendly people. AIYA QLD has been active since 2012 and provides a space for young people from all kinds of backgrounds to engage and learn about the other country. Nola's always up for exploring new places and meeting new faces. Her enthusiasm extends to learning about various cultures and an appreciation for diversity. Nola hopes that AIYA to be a positive space for improving Australia-Indonesia relationships.

Chapter President

Jason is the 2024 Vice President of the AIYA Queensland Chapter. He works as a cyber security consultant at Scyne Advisory, a government consulting firm helping agencies manage cyber risks for a more secure Australia. He brings this collaborative spirit to AIYA Queensland, building a better future for Australians and Indonesians alike and growing AIYA Queensland into the pre-eminent youth organisation in this space. He is also an avid long distance runner, traveller and self-professed foodie.

Katya is presently pursuing a Master's degree in Communication for Social Change at The University of Queensland. She has a diverse background in marketing and communication. She was a Communication Officer with AIYA QLD in 2023. Returning this year as a Secretary, she seeks to expand her network and further her educational journey.

My name is Nicklaus Ryan Kurniawan or known as Nick. I was born and raised in Jakarta, 31st of January 2002. I am doing my bachelor degree at the University of Queensland, majoring in Chemical Engineering. Currently, I live in Woolloongabba, Brisbane. I have been actively participating in volunteering and organizations since high school. I found it interesting to experience new team and meet new people. I hope this opportunity to join AIYA can bring positive impacts both for me and AIYA.

Jovan is a postgraduate student undertaking a Master's of IT in QUT after graduating in a Bachelor's of Business majoring in International Business & Marketing. She is interested in learning many ways of being productive, automations and the creative industry. Through AIYA, Jovan hopes to create lasting connections, and connect the Indonesian culture to Australians.

As a Business student at Queensland University of Technology, Alia, who was raised in Indonesia and born in Australia, recognizes the significant roles these two countries play, motivating her to deepen her understanding and knowledge, particularly in areas of cooperation related to business, culture, and their people.

Audrey graduated with a Bachelor of Marketing at Queensland University of Technology in 2023 majoring in Marketing. She’s been part of AIYA Queensland since 2020 and this year, she decided to continue working for AIYA QLD as a Communications team. With her background and experience in media and marketing, she loves to contribute to the community through social media platforms and interesting contents for the audience.
