Some may say Sulawesi Selatan is an unusual destination for an AIYA Chapter but since its establishment in 2017 AIYA SulSel has gone from strength to strength. The Chapter was created thanks to the 2016-17 cohort of the Australia-Indonesia Youth Exchange Program (AIYEP) and was proudly supported by the Australian Consulate General, Makassar. Biba is an employee of Telecommunication's company. She is passionate about culture and languages, and highly interested in international relations to engage with various kinds of people. Being a part of AIYA, she hopes to have a space to improve herself and develop a mutual understanding of Indonesia-Australia relations.

Richard is an English Literature student at Universitas Hasanuddin. Currently, taking a role as AIYA Sulawesi Selatan Chapter Vice President. Richard spends his time by involved in a language community, such as being a facilitator of Focus Group Discussion. He has high curiosity about self-development which made him joined AIYA.

Ace has previously joined the AIYA South Sulawesi chapter as a professional officer and is now the treasurer. Ace graduated from Stiem Bongaya Makassar majoring in accounting. She has an interest in intercultural relations and is excited to expand her network and learn more about the two countries and hopes that joining AIYA can connect young people from both Indonesia and Australia to get involved in the many activities that will be held.

Aisyah holds a bachelor degree in Public Health. She currently working as a freelancer and volunteering for AIYA and mental health Organisation. Her biggest goal is to study and work abroad. She believes that as a part of AIYA will her to achieve her goal and improving herself.

Since in medical school, Wiwi is active in volunteering and social activities. She loves to treat patients while organize some events. She realizes that being a medical doctor means to help others in health services. Get involved with AIYA will provide her new experience, new friends, and enhance her knowledge of both countries, especially in health sector.

Hallo, I’m Muhammad Rafi Athallah who graduated in Hasanuddin University, taking on Civil Engineering Major. Currently, I’m working as engineering staff at Government-Owned Corporation. Furthermore, I’m also actively involved in several organizations and participates in volunteer activities related to education and social. Consequently, i believe AIYA is the right place to release my skills and socialize with a new people.

This unwavering conviction led her to AIYA, a bridge connecting young minds from Australia and Indonesia. Through joining AIYA, she aspires to forge meaningful connections with people from diverse backgrounds, fostering mutual learning and growth.

Hello, I am Hikari Khalilah Tjaronge, I am part of AIYA South Sulawesi Chapter as Event Officer in 2024. I graduated from Hasanuddin University majoring in Civil Engineering. Currently, I am working as an engineering staff in one of the construction companies and also pursuing my Master's degree in the same field. Apart from school and work, I also like to meet and learn new things. Therefore, I joined AIYA hoping that I can meet new people and develop my skills.

Rahmat often called mato is a fresh graduate majoring in public administration. He is active in various organizational activities and volunteer movements. Mato is currently focusing as a content writer at a creative agency. In addition, he is very interested in literature and world history. He sees that Aiya is the right community to channel his interests.

Wada’a Gaizhani is currently serving as a Socio-Cultural staff at the AIYA South Sulawesi chapter. She is an undergraduate student majoring in English Linguistics at Hasanuddin University. Gess has been actively involved in various organizations and has participated in numerous volunteering events. Furthermore, she believes that her engagement with AIYA will be a pleasant opportunity for personal growth but also as a chance to contribute meaningfully to the community.

Febyola is a graduate of Hasanuddin University Makassar with a Masters in Management. Currently, she works at a law office in Makassar City.
