AIYA is governed by a Board of Directors, these directors hold legal responsibility for the organisation and oversee the wider organisation including National Coordinators, National Officers, Chapter Presidents and Chapter Officers.

Claudia Wijaya is studying Laws and Social Science at Macquarie University, majoring in Political Economy. She is interested in Australian and Indonesian law reform through revising policies to improve social environments. As an Australian-born Indonesian, she has maintained a strong connection to the Indonesian culture which she believes AIYA can continue embracing similarities and differences.

Bima Aryuna works in Jakarta and after completing his degree at Telkom University, Bima started his career in marketing. He is currently designing a board game about Sundanese Traditional Script and Batik. Previously, he joined the Australia-Indonesia Youth Exchange Program (AIYEP) in 2016-17 and would like to contribute more in building Australia-Indonesia relationship through AIYA.

Matthew is an Assistant Development Manager at Landcom, having studied Civil Engineering at USYD. Being Australian-born of Indonesian background, he has a strong interest and passion in what's happening in both countries. In addition, Matthew is always looking for ways to strengthen his own cultural connections within both communities, something which he believes that AIYA is best placed to help grow and facilitate.

Rosie is the Marketing Coordinator at International Internships and a marketing consultant for companies including Value Learning and Mosaic Connections. She is an alumna of the Australia-Indonesia Youth Exchange program and has been involved in AIYA for several years. Rosie is a graduate of Monash University and holds a Bachelor of Global Studies in Human Rights and a Diploma in Languages in Indonesian.

Kazhimi naim is a currently studying a bachelor of science, with a major in mechanical systems at the University of Melbourne. Having been born in Indonesia and migrating to Australia at a young age, Kazhimi has since been very active in the Indonesian community of Victoria. He strongly believes that effective commutation between Australian and Indonesian youths is vital in strengthening bilateral relations.

Pritta is a lawyer at a renowned firm based in Jakarta and a graduate from Universitas Indonesia. After joining an exchange program to Sydney in 2014, she realized how evident and meaningful the neighboring countries' relationship is. Through AIYA, Pritta hopes to explore the culture and partnership, and make new friends while encouraging youth participation in strengthening the bilateral ties.

Eager to continue her journey of learning and contributing, she actively participates in cultural and educational exchanges through AIYA.

Maddy is a final year International Security and Asian Studies student at ANU, currently based in Yogyakarta. She is interested in the intersection between gender, human rights and international security in the Asia-Pacific, and is focused this year on improving her Bahasa Indonesia at UGM. Her life in Yogya made her more focused on her Aus-Indo community and motivated her to join the Women's Empowerment Team, where she can apply all these interests!

Hirzi has held a number of research and policy positions, such as at the Victorian Parliament and KPMG. As an Indonesian-Australian, he is very keen to use his professional experiences and cultural background to benefit the bilateral relationship.

Annabel is a Bachelor of International Relations from Parahyangan Catholic University in Bandung, West Java. She was formerly involved as a committee member for UNESCO for World Press Freedom Day 2017 event. She was also invited by Indonesia Youth Foundation to be a Speaker for “Youth’s Role in Maximizing Indonesia’s Potential Through Public Diplomacy” 2022 Webinar. Her involvement in the ACICIS during her university years and her Bachelor thesis, “Indonesia’s Public Diplomacy through Film Sectors (Films & Film Festivals) in Australia for the Close Relationships Between the Two Countries” written in Bahasa has made her passionate and always curious about the bilateral relationship through public diplomacy.

Ashton is a Law and Creative and Professional Writing graduate from the Queensland University of Technology and is a 2023 graduate in the Australian Public Service. Ashton has studied Bahasa Indonesia since she was eleven years old and undertook two ACICIS programs (ILSC and IBLS) while at university. Ashton is especially interested in Indonesian literature and has volunteered at the Ubud Writers and Readers Festival.

Born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia, until she was 14, Lourdes sought to bring her love for Indonesian culture, food, and language with her when she moved to Australia to further her studies. Her enduring interests include developing and strengthening Australian-Indonesian bilateral relations and youth engagement in both countries.

Lachlan graduated his Bachelor of Arts with Honours, majoring in Indonesian and International relations at Deakin University mid of 2021. During study, he sought to advance his Indonesian studies and joined AIYA Victoria in 2020 as a member. In 2021, Lachlan took a step further and joined the committee as an education facilitator to help provide the knowledge and opportunities he obtained at AIYA such as writing for La Trobe Asia and interning for Global Victoria.

Rahel Pranoto is in her final year of a bachelor's degree in political science, and studies at Semarang State University. During her college years, she was involved in a variety of activities. Rahel is interested in international relations, language, and human relations related to culture. Through AIYA, she hopes to gain a deeper understanding of the cultures and societies of Indonesia and Australia. Rahel joined AIYA in 2022 and is the Congress Convenor for KAIYA in 2023.

Charlotte is studying a double degree of Asian Studies and Languages, and is majoring in Southeast Asian Studies and Indonesian language. She has studied Indonesian since primary school. In 2018, she completed an Indonesian Studies H-Course at the ANU, which sparked her interest in Indonesian politics and culture. In 2020, Charlotte worked as an Indonesian language tutor to college students and is passionate about the continuation of Indonesian language in Australian schools. From 2021, She has volunteered for AIYA as Communications Officer and Secretary for the ACT Chapter.

Thomas is in his third year of studies in International Relations, Economics, and Languages at the University of Adelaide. He takes Indonesian language as part of a Diploma with Flinders University and has developed strong interests in the state of Indonesia while undertaking intensive language training in Yogyakarta. He recently completed an internship with Gadjah Mada University’s Centre for Southeast Asian Social Studies (PSSAT), where he worked on issues related to food and water security.

Angus graduated with a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne in 2020, majoring in politics and Indonesian studies. In 2021, he was selected to be an Australian delegate in the Australia Indonesia Youth Exchange Program, and he went on to become the first place awardee in the executive catergory of the National Australia-Indonesia Language Awards in 2022. Since joining AIYA, Angus has endeavoured to promote Asia liteacy, and facilitate the development of people-to-people connections between Australia and Indonesia. He has also developed a keen ability for project management and support, and aspires to be involved in international development projects within Indonesia.

Siena is one of the alumni of Nusa Cendana University, Majoring Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Engineering class of 2018. She has also just completed her professional teacher studies at Nusa Cendana University in October 2023. Currently she is working as an ASN teacher at SMP Negeri 10 Kupang. In July 2023 he became the NTT Province Delegate in the Presidential Staff School activities at the State Palace and in October 2023 he became the Indonesian delegate in the World Food Forum activities organized by FAO in Rome, Italy.
