- Indonesian working holiday-makers say they were misled after being taken to remote farm site in Northern Territory. Dimas and Bella had plans to earn some money and travel Australia when they arrived for their working holiday. But from the moment they were collected at the airport, Bella said something felt off. - Scotch College to become latest school to phase out Indonesian studies .Scotch College in Melbourne’s east has received scrutiny for plans to phase out its long-running Bahasa Indonesia program. Experts say it’s indicative of a broader decline in the teaching of Indonesian language and culture, even as Australia’s economic ties with the country strengthen.(ABC News)
- Huge warning for Bali tourists who do this If you plan on doing this while in Bali, think again. Authorities have cracked down on foreigners who are in breach of the specific act. Foreigners in Bali who are found to be in breach of immigration laws or have overstayed their visas could be sentenced to life behind bars as major changes come into effect. (News.Com.au)

- The Jakarta Bintangs is an Australian Football Club with membership open to anyone, beginners are most welcome. The club organises games throughout the year, mostly in Jakarta, with occasional games across Indonesia and overseas. Tours are planned to Bali, Batam, Vietnam and Thailand this year. Training is mostly held at Lapangan Bola Aldiron in Jakarta on Saturday or Sunday afternoons. On occasion, training sessions are also held Thursday nights in the GBK complex.
