• CAUSINDY speakers Harsa Prasetyo (First State Investments) and Debnath Guharoy (Roy Morgan) told  ABC Asia Editor Catherine McGrath (@catherine_h_mcg) on Newsline that Aussie business is being left behind in Indonesia.
• ANU lecturer and Australian delegate Ross Tapsell (@RossTapsell) says ‘there’s no one-size fits all solution to strengthening the Indonesia-Australia relationship. Instead we need to get up front and personal’.
• Indonesian delegate Benazir Shahril spoke to SBS Radio (Bahasa Indonesia) about expanding microfinance cooperation between Australia and Indonesia.

Events and jobs

• Canberra, 28 October, 17:30—a real treat for history buffs. The 1946 film Indonesia Calling, an Australian documentary about Indonesia’s struggle for Independence and Australians’ role therein, will be screened at a special event commemorating National Awakening Day at the Balai Kartini, Indonesian Embassy. A discussion panel will feature ANU historian Prof Anthony Reid and Universitas Indonesia historian Dr Kresno Brahmantyo.
