- Indonesian military chief, Gatot Nurmantyo, was denied entry to the United States due to what’s claimed to be an administrative error. Fairfax’s Jewel Topsfield reported from Jakarta on how this may affect the two countries’ bilateral and defence military ties.
- Can cocoa help rebuild impoverished communities? Read more on this research study done by Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) and Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) in partnership with The University of Sydney to improve public health in West Sulawesi.

- Melbourne, 20 November – Attend Lowy Institute’s lecture series of Beyond access: Making Indonesia’s education system work where leading experts on policy and politics Indonesia will discuss underlying political and social relationships in Indonesia’s education system.
