PATHWAYS Mentoring Program

PATHWAYS is a new collaborative program between CAUSINDY and the Australia-Indonesia Youth Association (AIYA) that matches AIYA members from Australia and Indonesia with experienced professionals in their field of interest drawn from the CAUSINDY alumni community. The aim is to carve a pathway for the next generation to develop the skills they need to build their desired careers in the Australia-Indonesia bilateral relationship.

CAUSINDY and AIYA will match mentors and mentees based on shared interests and expertise. Our team will also provide each pair with advice and resources to help them get the most from the mentoring relationship.

The program is pivotal in nurturing the next generation of Australian and Indonesian leaders. Through this program, you will be immersed within a community that is passionate about strengthening the bilateral relationship between Australia and Indonesia.

Benefit of joining

There are many benefits for mentors and mentees. For mentors, this program is an opportunity to develop your own coaching skills, and a chance to help the next generation of leaders learn from your own professional experiences. For mentees, you will be empowered and encouraged in personal and professional development through identifying and achieving career goals. The program will also establish a network of helpful connections for participants.

Your commitment

The commitment is small – monthly virtual meetings at you and your mentee’s/mentor’s discretion. The program consists of eight virtual meetings, which will run for eight months. Your participation is flexible and can be tailored to suit your availability and interests. The program team will be available to provide advice and support at each step. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the program will be entirely online, but we will consider expanding it to in-person meetings in the future.
