Austrade is advertising a vacancy for Business Development Manager—Infrastructure to be based at the Australian Embassy in Jakarta.

The responsibilities of the role are primarily ‘to identify business opportunities, provide advice on market entry strategies and in-market support for Australian companies in Indonesia, and undertake market promotional activities, market research and analysis’.

Says the listing:

“This position require [sic] a strong client focus in the delivery of services to Australian companies and in dealings with potential Indonesian business partners and government agencies.
The successful candidate will have a tertiary degree combined with a minimum 5 years’ marketing and promotional experience, be fluent in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia, and have well developed local business networks plus excellent research, analytical and communication skills. In particular, Industry knowledge in infrastructure, building & construction sector would be highly regarded.
