The Member of AIYA JaBar Gathered up for excited discussions
A great number of both Indonesians and Australians attended the night. The atmosphere and the crowded room were full of excitement with the new and friendly faces in the AIYA JaBar family.
At the event, Shaun shared with all of the new members about what AIYA is, how to become a member and some of the events being held in the upcoming semester. Some of these interesting events being planned include language exchanges, many sports events (including Futsal which opened last Monday), movie screenings, and farewell party at the end of this semester to say goodbye to the current ACICIS students.
As well as the President announcing these exciting plans, representatives of Bamboo Shack and a representative of the World Clean-Up Day talked about their interesting programs for youth, both foreign and local, in Bandung. The World Clean-Up Day, in particular, is something that AIYA JaBar members will be taking part in this coming Saturday (check out our Facebook Page for more details)!
Bamboo Shack was filled with both Australian and Indonesians along with their excitement
The welcome night made a positive impression on all who attended. For old friends who have returned, or the new members who signed up on the night, we look forward to an exciting semester to come!
