What is your occupation/What do you study?
Senior Project Officer
Fun fact you would like to share with us?
I love durian!
What made you so interested in Australia/Indonesia?
I worked in Jakarta for 14 months and became very passionate about Indonesian culture.
What is your most memorable culture shock experience?
After living in Jakarta for 6 months I travelled to rural Aceh Selatan and had to use the mandi besar for the first time – it was a very quick shower!
What is your favourite place to visit in Indonesia/Australia?
Semarang, Jawa Tengah

Tempe

How did you first become interested in Indonesia/Australia?
I lived in Jakarta for 14 months
Any hopes for the bilateral relationship?
More young Australians are aware of the incredible diversity of Indonesian culture
In your opinion, how is Youth like yourself take part in shaping Australia-Indonesia relationship?
We not only run events which promote relationships between Australia and Indonesia but I actively promote these on my social media accounts to raise awareness amongst people who may have limited exposure to Indonesia.
What was getting involved with AIYA like?
So much fun and so nice to engage with like-minded individuals
