  • Adelaide, 17 June – AIYA SA play futsal every Monday night at Flinders Uni. Message them via the FB page if you’re keen to join in.
  • Canberra, 15 June – The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia will host an Open House event at the Embassy this week to mark the end of Ramadan ‘Idul Fitri (Eid-al-Fitr)’.
  • Canberra, 24 June – Attend ANU’s Public Lecture, ‘IA-CEPA: Towards a Stronger Business Partnership Between Australia and Indonesia’, which will be presented by Thomas Lembong, Chairman of the Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board and former Minister of Trade of Indonesia, from 5:30pm.   • Sydney, 5 – 28 June – Emerging visual Indonesian artist Jayanto Damanik Tan (born in Indonesia and based in Australia) is displaying his interactive performance installation, ‘Ritual Everywhere But Nowhere’ that explores the identity and the politics of the Chinese diaspora at Gallery 4.   • The Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) is seeking a Senior Political Researcher (Security, Maritime and Islamic Affairs).   • DFAT has launched their iSAY Essay Competition aimed at promoting understanding of the ways trade has benefited Australia and the world. There’s three categories: Australian High School Students, Australian University Students and ASEAN University Students.   • The New Colombo Plan Scholarship Program provides opportunities for Australian undergraduate students to undertake semester-based study and internships or mentorships in 40 participating Indo-Pacific locations.   • ReelOzInd! 2019 is open for submissions! Take part in another spectacular tour of Indonesian and Australian storytelling and creativity.   • Registration is now open for the 2019 Indonesia Update, to be held on 6 – 7 September 2019! This is an annual conference held at the Australian National University and will be discussing the quality of Indonesian democracy.   • The Herb Feith Scholarships scheme is a new initiative of the Monash Herb Feith Indonesian Engagement Centre. Scholarships support graduate researchers to complete an MA or PhD at Monash University on a topic related to Indonesia.
