- The Morrison Government is strengthening Australian economic and trade relationship with Indonesia through the launch today of the Blueprint for Trade and Investment with Indonesia. The blueprint will help Australian companies grow their commercial links and develop new opportunities within the Indonesian market following the commencement of the Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement in 2020. - In addition to being the first Saturday of the month, the 2nd of October 2021 marks the 11th annual celebration of batik, an ancient tradition from Indonesia. Twelve years ago, on the 2nd of October 2009, UNESCO designated batik as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. Since then, the 2nd of October has been declared as Hari Batik Nasional (National Batik Day) to commemorate this enactment and to pay extra attention to one of Indonesia’s most renowned brand marks. - Dua belas tahun yang lalu, pada tanggal 2 Oktober 2009, UNESCO menetapkan batik sebagai Mahakarya Warisan Budaya Lisan dan Takbenda Manusia (bahasa Inggris: Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity). - AIYA Indigenous Engagement Events! Kumpul, AIYA’s Indigenous Engagement Committee have worked to construct and host some events in celebration:
- First Nations Book Club has its inaugural launch this year, it promotes the importance of incorporating Indigenous perspectives into the work we do in building the Australia-Indonesia relationship. Meet bi-monthly to read a diverse range of books by Indigenous Australian authors.
