Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Islamic Law) at Australian Catholic University
The Australian Catholic University’s Institution for Religious and Critical Inquiry is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to work on the creation and daily maintenance of a database and clearinghouse for issues of Islamic law (Shari’a) in both Western and Muslim Majority nations.
Join a team of accomplished, nationally and internationally recognised researchers in the Centre for Religion and Society within the newly established Institute of Religion and Critical Inquiry.
As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, you will work with Professor Turner and Dr Roose on the creation and daily maintenance of a database and clearinghouse for issues of Islamic law (Shari’a) in both Western and Muslim Majority nations.
To be successful in this position, you will have completed a PhD or equivalent within the preceding eight years and demonstrate expertise in the Australian and Indonesian legal systems.
Total remuneration valued to $101,440 – $119,702 pa, including salary component $85,718 – $101,206 pa (Academic Classification Level B), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
